The polling locations are open from 6 am to 6 pm on Election Day, but sometimes you’re not able to get to your polling place in time to vote on the first Tuesday following the first Monday of the month. Indiana started using early voting as a way to be sure everyone has an opportunity to make their voice heard during the election.
Every voter is eligible to vote early. You just need to be a registered voter with a valid photo identification. Each county will set up one or more designated locations to vote “absentee in-person.” Just show up to vote with your id and the election board staff will take care of the rest. It is an easy way to be sure you don’t miss this important opportunity to send a message to Washington!
Early voting doesn’t start until a month before the election. If you’re interested in casting an early ballot and would like us to send you information about voting in your county when it begins, just complete the form below and we’ll be glad to send you what you need to know.
